Shami and Dave McRae are a married couple who have lived in Rotorua for over 18 years. Prior to that, they balanced their time between Auckland and California (USA). They have six children and eleven grandchildren spread across the globe, and really enjoy travelling abroad whenever they get the chance. Both of them are passionate about meeting and hosting people.

Shami loves cooking. If you are fortunate enough to book an evening meal with Shami, you are in for a gourmet delight served with a glass of their finest wine. Shami's complimentary Mediterranean breakfast is legendary and extras at cost are available, including Shami's famous homestyle cooked breakfast. Other meals including fine dining can be available on request.

Dave loves a good chat. He knows Rotorua like the back of his hand and works in tourism, so if you are wanting to know the best things to do, he would be more than happy to provide recommendations.​

"Antonio" the maître d' is super friendly and loves a pat. If there is anything you need to know just ask Antonio. "Bella" - she just looks pretty and is the Queen. no more needs to be said.
